CHARLTON make their 36th league visit to Huddersfield eager to prove a point.

Phil Parkinson’s side have the fourth best away record in League I, but have so far failed to beat any of the sides in the top half of the table on their own turf.

Their wins have come against Stockport, Wycombe, Southend, Tranmere, Hartlepool, Leyton Orient and Brighton.

Meanwhile Town, who have picked up 24 points away from home compared to Charlton’s tally of 28, are aiming for a first win home or away against a side currently in the top six.

Charlton have been victorious on their last two visits to the Galpharm – 2-1 in 1999-2000 and 3-0 in 1997-98.

Overall the South-East Londoners have 10 wins in the series, with Town chalking up 16.

The last of those was in 1996-97, when Darren Bullock and Andy Morrison gave Town a 2-0 win on the opening day of the season.

The first meeting in Huddersfield was in December 1936, when Charlton won 2-1.
