COLNE VALLEY achieved another land mark when they beat Bradford 3-1 in their final League match to go through the entire season unbeaten.

They had already secured the Premier League title, but to preserve their unbeaten record – they dropped just four points from a total of 54 – made the campaign even more memorable.

Valley will now compete in the play-offs to try to win entry into the North of England League.

Against Bradford they were soon into their stride in a sparkling first half, in which Sarah Kenny opened the scoring and Sue Rainbow followed on with two great goals from open play.

Bradford had plenty of youth in their side and they put together some good moves, but failed with the final strike.

They did pull one back before half-time, but that was as close as they came as Valley kept them at bay throughout the second period to claim the three points.

Ogilvie converted from a short corner and, despite several attacks by the home side, Park’s defence kept them out to register the victory to boost their promotion hopes.
