Conor Coady says Huddersfield Town will be pulling out all the stops to go into the international break on the back of a home win over Fulham.

The midfielder believes Chris Powell’s side will bounce back from the disappointment of their 2-2 Championship draw with Norwich City when they face the Londoners back at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday.

Town led through James Vaughan’s stoppage-time strike, only for Jamar Loza to then force a second leveller for the promotion-chasing Canaries.

Vaughan’s red card – his goal celebration brought a second yellow after an earlier foul – means he will miss out against Fulham through suspension.

Boss Powell also has worries over Harry Bunn (hamstring), Joe Lolley (hip) and Jack Robinson (knee).

But he hopes 12-goal striker Nahki Wells will be back after a five-match lay off with a shoulder problem.

Town, who are 17th and 10 points above the relegation zone with eight games to go, are chasing a first win in six against Fulham.

They have drawn their last two, and Coady said: “Norwich are a good side, but we came very close to beating them.

“It was a massive contrast of emotions at the end, because we thought the game was won.

“We thought the referee would blow up after our goal, but instead he seemed to play on and on.

“The equaliser was very disappointing from our point of view. I was the last man and I was stretching for the ball.

“I missed it, I saw their lad take a touch and then it was a goal.”

Coady continued: “After losing three in a row, I thought we turned it round a little by drawing at Birmingham City on Saturday.

“We backed that up with a good performance against Norwich, but we should have seen the game out.

“Now we have to make sure we win against Fulham, and we need to get on the front foot and get the fans behind us.”

After facing Fulham, Town have a blank fortnight before their Saturday, April 4 trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
