WHILE Jordan Rhodes waits to see whether he is the Coca-Cola League I player of the Month for August – he is one of four nominees with the result announced this morning – Town old boy Danny Cadamarteri has captured the Scottish Premier League prize.
The 29-year-old landed the Clydesdale Bank award after netting three times in as many games for Dundee United, where he switched in the summer after two seasons at the Galpharm.
Cadamarteri, right, scored a debut double to help down Hearts and another in the 2-1 win over Falkirk, with United currently third in the table.
“I expected to get kicked all over the park but that’s not been the case,” he said.
“That’s what it was like in England at times – I spent two seasons getting lumps kicked out of me, because teams just want to fight and tussle.
“But here even the so-called lesser sides play nice stuff.”
