David Wagner had no complaints about the 2-0 defeat or Huddersfield Town's performance at Derby County.

Town lost out to goals by Chris Martin and Johhny Russell at the iPro Stadium and dropped to 18th in the Championship, but head coach Wagner remained upbeat afterwards.

"My players tried everything, worked unbelievably hard and created good chances against a good opponent," he said.

"They did what we asked of them in terms of closing the centre of the pitch, denying the opposition space, being aggressive and being good in transition.

"I saw everything I wanted except goals by my team.

"It was a good game and it's not nice to lose but sometimes you have to accept a result.

"Everyone can leave the stadium with their head up and we will keep on our way.

"These are exactly the games and opponents from which we can learn. We have to make sure we keep developing and learning."
