Consortium leader Ken Davy confirmed "as much information as possible" has been passed to the League for board approval at a London meeting also considering the futures of Wimbledon and Luton Town. Successful transfer of the League `share' to the new Town company under Mr Davy would clear the way for Peter Jackson's side to compete in Division III next season.

"We have provided the Football League with all the information we can and we hope this will be sufficient for them to make the transfer of the Football League share," said Mr Davy today.

"However, there are still some key issues that have to be resolved and, without a satisfactory outcome on those, it will be difficult to move much further forward at this stage in the rescue of the club."
