KEVIN KILBANE looked forward to his first-ever play-off campaign and pledged: “It’s time for action, not talk.”

Town’s influential on-loan midfielder, 34, was a Division III (now League II) title winner with his first club Preston in 1996.

With the bulk of his career spent in the Premier League, promotion has eluded him since then, but it’s a record he’s more than ready to put straight.

And the Republic of Ireland ace, who hopes to extend his record caps tally to 110 in the big Euro 2012 qualifier in Macedonia on June 4, six days after the League I play-off final at Old Trafford, has his sights set on a big double.

“It’s an exciting time to be around the club and I’m proud to be a part of things,” said the Hull player ahead of Town’s big semi-final first leg at Bournemouth tomorrow.

“Lee Clark made it clear to me when I first signed just how important winning promotion is, and we have a great chance to achieve it.

“We certainly won’t take anything for granted. I played at Bournemouth back in February and, to be fair, we were probably a bit fortunate to get a draw.

“But we’ve shown good form in recent matches, and we’re all up for it.”
