MANAGER Lee Clark is delighted scouts are queueing up to watch Town and says it’s no problem whatsoever with just over a month to the January transfer window.

Clark has no-one knocking on his door saying they want to leave the club despite him being ready to name an unchanged side for the sixth successive match against Hartlepool today.

And he stressed he has no reason to sell any of his highly-rated squad as Town go for promotion.

“I get a full list of clubs who are represented before each game and I’m well aware of who is watching us,” said Clark, whose side were watched by 26 scouts in the 6-0 win against Wycombe.

“It’s not a case of having any contact with them or any conversations – I just see the stories in the press where everybody is linking my good young players to this club and that club. Things like that never weigh on my mind as it’s good people are talking about my players.

“Where I’m lucky is with the man that owns the football club (Dean Hoyle). He doesn’t need a couple of million quid because, with the way he has worked hard in his life, he’s got a fair few in his bank account.

“We know about the scouts and it shows we’ve got good players, but we certainly don’t need to sell anybody for any price.

“They can offer what they want, but it won’t turn my owner’s head because he has got his own finances.

“Dean hasn’t come here to make money, he has come here because he is a Huddersfield Town fan who loves the club – and he wants to try and improve the football club’s standing. Selling your best players is not going to do that.”
