GREETLAND claimed points on their travels as they won 4-0 at Rastrick in Division II of the RCD League’s Under 13 section.

Having held Greetland to a goalless draw in November, Rastrick were hopeful of adding a third win to their season’s tally as they struggle to stay out of the relegation zone.

However, promotion-chasing Greetland had other ideas and the home side never recovered from going behind in the 10th minute when Ryan Thornley’s powerful shot was parried by keeper Josh Talbot only for the ball to hit the back of a defender and rebound into the net.

The visitors doubled their advantage when Adam Hind’s cross found Luke Whitaker who found the net.

Kieren Stevens was on target for Greetland’s third when his shot looped over keeper Talbot and any hopes of a Rastrick recovery were dashed when Stevens’ corner found Adam Hind who headed home at the far post.
