TOWN’S promotion dream crumbled – in what boss Lee Clark called “eight crazy minutes”.

Free-scoring Peterborough withstood a spell of second-half pressure in yesterday’s League I play-off final – then netted three times in a late blitz to claim a Championship berth.

It meant misery for Town chairman Dean Hoyle, boss Clark, skipper Peter Clarke (right) and his players, and more than 31,000 fans in a 48,410 crowd at Old Trafford.
