MEMBERS of the Trust should by now have received their ballot papers to decide on the future of the Trust's £50,000 cash reserve.

Time is running out to exercise your rights under our democratic constitution. Papers must be received by the Trust before the deadline of 4.00pm on Friday.

The result of the ballot will be announced late next Monday. The Survival Trust website will be the first to carry the result, with this column covering the subject next week.

Papers are flooding in at the moment and will remain unopened until counting. We hope you will understand our asking members to stamp the envelope themselves.

We are always concious of our need to preserve Trust funds wherever we possibly can.

The Trust website is currently carrying news of other supporters trusts around the country that have either gained shareholdings or been invited to join their club boards. The most recent of these is Trust Oldham, who have been invited to join the Athletic board.

A shares trust is, of course, one of the ballot options. The other choices are: to retain and build on the reserve, to use matched funding grants to increase the sum for a club/community project, or to hand the cash to the Town club's Development Association.
