Ex-Huddersfield Town loan midfielder Diego Poyet is eyeing a Premier League outing for West Ham – against his dad Gus’s team Sunderland.
The 19-year-old is back in London after two games for Chris Powell’s side.
The Hammers are up in fourth as they head to the Stadium of Light.
Poyet said: "I’d love to play against Sunderland. The squad is pretty much all fit at the moment so it will be difficult but I’d love to be involved.
"I’ve never played against a team my dad’s managed, he’d left Brighton by the time I was playing for Charlton so we haven’t crossed paths just yet."
Summer signing Poyet has played three times for the Upton Park club.
