CHRIS FAGAN will have another match in Town colours next week.
The 19-year-old from the Glenn Hoddle Academy scored a hat trick in front of watching manager Lee Clark for Town Reserves at Hartlepool on Wednesday.
Now, he will train with the club and play in either a friendly against Chesterfield on Monday or the totesport.com League clash with Barnsley at the Galpharm on Wednesday (7.00).
Former Manchester United player Fagan, a Republic of Ireland Under 21 cap, is looking to get back into league football.
“Chris will stay with us because I want to see him training in and among the first-team squad,” said Clark.
“We have also got two games next week and I’ll have a look at him in one of those.
“He obviously did well in the match up at Hartlepool, in what was a terrific team performance from us.
“I was really pleased with the lads in the 5-0 win, both the experienced ones and the younger ones.”
Danny Broadbent’s loan at Gateshead has come to an end and he is back training with Town.
