THREE goal debutant Chris Fagan is set to further his claim for a prolonged run with Town as he lines up in the reserves tonight.

The former Manchester United striker is to face Barnsley at the Galpharm Stadium (7pm) as Totesport.com East leaders Town seek to rubber stamp their title credentials.

Fagan made a big impact last week when he notched a hat trick as Town saw off their nearest rivals Hartlepool winning 5-0.

"Chris is in the side and he will play," confirmed Town boss Lee Clark.

Clark will also run the rule over midfielders Ian Craney and James Berrett, goalkeeper Simon Eastwood and defender Joe Skarz.

"We have got to keep the players fresh and they have to put themselves forward if we need someone to step up for the game at Hereford at the weekend," said Clark.

However, right back Andy Holdsworth will not be called on as he continues to try and regain fitness after injuring an ankle in the 3-1 defeat at Tranmere Rovers.
