TODAY’S FA VASE fourth-round ties involving AFC Emley and Brighouse Town are among the matches hit by the big freeze.

Emley were due to host Suffolk side Hadleigh United at the Welfare Ground while Brighouse were bound for Newport in the Isle of Wight.

The pair, both from the Northern Counties East League, are aiming to reach the last 16 of the prestigious national competition.

Disappointed Brighouse discovered the postponement, caused by heavy snow in the Isle of Wight, before their planned departure for a two-night stay in Southampton.

The game against the Wessex League side will now take place a week today.
