TOWN are hoping to take strong support for their pre-season cup tournament in Ibiza.

Interest has already been encouraging - and every fan who goes is helping finance the cost of Town's trip to the Mediterranean from July 9-16.

Peter Jackson's side will be training and will have two matches during the week, with Coventry City, QPR and an Ibiza XI the other teams taking part.

Fans are welcome to go along - but match tickets are available only to those booking official supporters' packages through organisers PlayHARD Sports.

No tickets will be available on the island and there is no facility for pay-at-the-gate at the 1,500-capacity ground of SD Portmany in the town of San Antonio.

Supporters will pay £319 for the Bronze Package of seven nights in the Hotel Mitjorn, it's £349 for the Silver Package in a studio apartment at the Jovial Apartments and £379 for the Gold Package, in the three-star Hotel Riviera.

Packages include flights from Manchester, East Midlands or Gatwick and, on the first Sunday, there will be a welcome meeting with details of the tournament schedules and social itinerary.

Monday is a free day for fans before the first match of the tournament at 9pm, when one of the English teams will play the island XI.

There's a Question of Sport Quiz for supporters on the Tuesday, before the second match of the event between the other two English teams (9pm).

On the Wednesday, there's a cruise and beach party for fans before the third and fourth place play-off match while on the Thursday, it's a free day for fans before the two finalists compete for the Copa De Ibiza (again 9pm).

Friday features a seven-a-side tournament for fans before the 9pm presentation evening.

Optional activities are available and bookings with PlayHARD are on a first come, first served basis on 01943-464297 or on www.playhardsports.co.uk

Town, of course, have been much closer to home for the last two pre-seasons.

On each occasion, they have played regional non-League sides with a match against League opposition just before the big kick-off.

The invitation to Ibiza will provide the backbone of preparations this time.
