ANDY BOOTH’s abiding memory of the Division II play-off final victory against Bristol Rovers is of the Town fans, not his goal at the national stadium in the 2-1 win.

“Going down Wembley Way was fantastic because all you could see was blue and white from Huddersfield and, inside the stadium, the noise from our fans was deafening,” said Booth, who netted Town’s opener before Chris Billy got the winner late on.

“I just felt it was going to be our day, even after Bristol Rovers equalised through Marcus Stewart, and the lap of honour afterwards was brilliant.

“Seeing all your family and friends among 27,000 Town fans was amazing, and you simply don’t forget winning a final at Wembley.”
