WE could be one of the best sides in the division if only we could play for 90 minutes like we played in the first half.

It was a great first-half performance, but then our consistency let us down again and we started defending way, way too deep.

Once we get a couple of goals up our game seems to go downhill for some reason and, personally, I thought the substitutions came too late.

Having not had our fair share of good luck over the season, though, we finally deserved a bit and held out for a much-needed win. The luck was deserved.

Bournemouth made a big push in the second half, but we shouldn't have defended so deep.

I thought Sodje was our man of the match.

He's a favourite of mine anyway, but he made only one mistake I can think of, played extremely well and organised the defence very well indeed.

Beckett did well up front on his home debut as well.

We have needed someone to back up Abbott and score goals and, of we've got some money and Sheffield United will let him go, I think we should try and add him to the squad.

As for the season, we seem to play well against the teams who are above us in the table but, against those in the lower reaches, we don't pick up enough points to push us right up the table.

Everyone has said it, the manager included - we are not consistent enough.

A strong midfield player would help the squad and, while we've got Brandon when he's not suspended, we have no-one to really replace him.

The Schofield for Abbott substitution was the right one but I would have made it much earlier in the game to tighten things up.

Bournemouth showed in the second half that they are a good side who can pass the ball, but we should have killed off the game when we were on top in the first half.
