I HAVE always said to `non believers' that there's never a dull moment watching Town.

Heartache aplenty, deep joy occasionally but never nothing happening.

This match was certainly no exception.

Beforehand my thoughts were of disappointment over Efe Sodje, delight over Paul Rachubka and wondering over who would be skipper.

I was disappointed to find Andy Booth not fit, surprised Anthony Lloyd wasn't playing and chuffed to bits for Jonathan Worthington to be skipper, because he's improved tremendously, he's one of my favourites and he's our own Paul Scholes.

The match itself was spicy from the start with our skill and flair against their strength and gamesmanship.

Their system is based on power, organisation and, against teams like us, the disruption of our pattern.

I just hoped our system would beat theirs.

I thought Yates was superb, allowing others to make forward movement, while Rachubka made a fantastic save when one on one.

We had at least two copper bottomed penalty appeals, one for elbowing and the other for handball and I wonder when we are going to get our just desserts on that front.

With the referee, I wondered how someone so close could miss so much, and it was unbelievable when he did nothing after Yates was elbowed. It was a crazy decision.

I would pay good money to see skill like that which brought Pav his first-half strike against the bar, while Rachubka made another great save.

After Pav's equaliser, there was a cracking Holdsworth shot and the crowd were getting at Macca for not heading the ball and he almost won it with a header!

On chances, I suppose it was a fair result, but I don't like the system Brentford use. If it came to our club, I wouldn't be happy at all. Keep the faith!
