FORMER Town player Neil Parsley brings his Farsley Celtic team to AFC Emley’s Welfare Ground for a pre-season friendly tonight (7.30).

It is Farsley’s first fixture after a new club was formed from the ashes of the Celtic who went bankrupt last season.

Emley manager Darren Bland will be looking for a more attacking performance from his side who were beaten 5-0 by a full strength Town squad on Friday.

“Against Town with all of their attacking options we knew that we would need to play a more defensive strategy otherwise they would completely overrun us,” he said.

“I’m hoping that we’ll be able to create a lot more chances against Farsley and expecting a much closer game.”

Mark Stuart is out of the squad after pulling up with an injury in training on Tuesday night whilst Sean Hazelden and Max Joice are both unavailable through work commitments.

Bland has better news on new signing Jamie Smith who has responded well to treatment on a back injury and is likely to be back in training within the next week.

Emley have announced their final friendly fixture against Nottingham based EMCL club Radford on Tuesday, August 3.
