FC HALIFAX Town are heading home this weekend.

After drawing 0-0 against Stalybridge Celtic at Rochdale’s Spotland Stadium having moved their ‘home’ game last weekend, the Shaymen have confirmed their Blue Square North fixture against Worcester City will be played at The Shay on Saturday (3.0).

A string of matches at The Shay have been postponed this season due to water-logging – prompting the move to Spotland.

However, following a dry spell, the club have held discussions with the relevant parties and – after the postponement of a junior rugby game – with significant work on the pitch by the ground staff the Shaymen are confident they can get the game on.

However, manager Neil Aspin’s first consideration is tonight’s league trip to Rivacre Park to face Vauxhall Motors (7.45).

The Shaymen have claimed seven points from the last nine available, and they are flying on the road after three league wins on the spin away from West Yorkshire.

They head to Merseyside fifth in the table and could move up a place with victory over Vauxhall, who are currently 12th.

The Shaymen welcome back Chris Worsley after suspension, with only Dale Johnson missing through injury.
