FC HALIFAX Town will find out their fate in the FA Trophy quarter-finals today.

They reached this lunchtime’s draw for the last eight with a comfortable 3-0 third round home win over Blue Square South outfit Chelmsford City.

The Shaymen’s hero was Liam Needham, with the 27-year-old former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder bagging two goals.

And Jason St Juste put his penalty miss agony in last Tuesday’s 0-0 home draw against Solihull Moors in the Blue Square North behind him as he completed the tally.

In freezing conditions Town were dominant throughout, and the hosts took the lead on 11 minutes when Paul Marshall freed Scott McManus down the left and his cross found Needham who fired in from close range.

The visitors had their chances as Max Cornhill headed over when unmarked.

The home side then suffered a blow with striker Gareth Seddon carried off injured.

Manager Neil Aspin adjusted his side at half time and after the break they made early in-roads as Dan Gardner broke free down the right and squared for St Juste to tap home the second.

The third goal came after City’s Aiden Palmer’s free-kick came off the bar, only to see the home side snap up possession and race through – with Marshall setting up Needham to score.
