In Division I, there is no change at the top as both Hepworth United and Uppermill both won.

At the bottom, it is becoming very competitive. As more clubs realise they are in a relegation fight, the better their form becomes.

Moldgreen went on a three-match winning run and now Diggle have found some form. They beat Scholes 4-3 but they are still bottom – with games in hand.

However, only six points separate the bottom seven clubs – it’s anyone’s guess who will be the unlucky one come the end of the season.

In Division II, leaders Heywood Irish were involved in one of the abandoned games but they will have been pleased to see that Shelley beat Meltham 1-0. Shelley and Meltham now change places behind Heywoods.

At the foot of this division, Cumberworth won the relegation fight with Westend 8-3, with Bowker scoring six of them.

The only side below this pair is Holmfirth Town, but when they bring their cup form to the League, they could well move up the table.

In Division III, the leaders may not be the leaders very much longer. Holme Valley Academicals dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with neighbours Upperthong, while second placed Honley were beating Grange Moor 5-0.

This results in Honley being just two points behind the Accies with two games in hand.

Another division where there is no change at the top is Division Four.

3D Dynamos couldn’t raise a team so leaders Hade Edge had no fixture, and with the three below them, AFC Lindley, Aimbry and Thornhill United winning, all moved three points closer to the leaders.

In Reserve Division I, Uppermill Reserves had a comfortable 8-1 win over Heyside Reserves, but the side in second were beaten 2-0.

Hardly a week goes by without one of the four Cumberworth teams causing a surprise. This week it was their Reserves, who are bottom of their League, beat second-placed Honley Reserves 2-0.
