Tackled strongly while his decoy run created the space which Anthony Pilkington exploited to score. 7

ANTONY KAY
Some of his deliveries went astray, but overall worked well alongside Peter Clarke to seal a crucial clean sheet. 7

PETER CLARKE
Got nothing from referee Michael Oliver in his tussle with Neil Mellor but still got the better of the striker. 8

ANTHONY PILKINGTON
Always a willing outlet for Town and scored a superb 11th goal of the season to seal the victory. 8

KEVIN KILBANE
Just as at Carlisle, used his experience and covered the whole pitch as he drove his new side towards the win. 8

SCOTT ARFIELD
Another high-octane performance from the hard-working Scot who could easily have scored. 8

JORDAN RHODES
Ran his socks off to keep the Wednesday defence on their toes and was always eager to go for goal. 7

LEE NOVAK
Like teammate Rhodes, his enthusiasm for work stood out and meant the visitors could never rest easy. 7

GARY ROBERTS
Like Pilkington, restored to the XI and always eager for the ball, his runs were particularly telling in the first half. 7
