Watch out for Huddersfield Town fans heading from the Holme Valley to the John Smith’s Stadium!

Fans in the HD9 postcode area have bought 10% of the season cards sold to date.

Town’s cut-price 2016-17 offer (£179 for adults) has attracted plenty of interest.

They have been snapped up by supporters from as far afield as the Isle of Man, Bournemouth, Glasgow and Bristol.

But 59% have been sold to fans with an HD postcode and 19% to those with a Wakefield postcode.

Wakefield includes the Heavy Woollen area which is traditionally a hotbed of Town support.

Ticket office manager Sue Beaumont said: “We are often asked where our supporters are based, so we thought it would spark a bit of friendly debate to release these figures!

“It’s no surprise that most season card sales come from Huddersfield, but to actually see which areas makes for interesting reading.

“It’s also usual to see strong sales in the WF postcode region, as there has always been a strong core of Huddersfield Town fans in the Heavy Woollen.”
