The Football Association have confirmed Huddersfield Town midfielder Jonathan Hogg will serve just a one-match ban.

The 27-year-old midfielder received a straight red card in the FA Cup third-round replay defeat at Reading.

Hogg walked after a professional foul on Matej Vydra, but it was not judged as serious foul play by referee Oliver Langford so he has avoided a three-match suspension.

Also sent off against Reading last season, Hogg will be absent when David Wagner’s side visit Brighton on Saturday in the Championship.

Fortunately for Town, Dean Whitehead is available again after his long injury absence and featured as a substitute in the 5-2 Cup loss at the Madejski Stadium.
