Former Huddersfield Town keeper Ed Wilczynski is aiming to win a contract at York City.
The 21-year-old Town academy product has joined the National League side on trial.
Wilczynski left his hometown club this summer after ending last season on loan to Bishop Auckland.
It was his second stint at the North-East club and he also had loans at Hyde United, Trafford, FC United of Manchester and Sheffield FC.
Wilczynski joined Town at Under 14 level, having played junior football for Collegians in Salendine Nook.
York were relegated from League II last season.
Manager Jackie McNamara is also running the rule over Gaelic football goalkeeper Michael Quinn, the son of former Republic of Ireland striker Niall.
Former Northern Ireland keeper Michael Ingham has left York after a nine-year spell.
