FORMER Huddersfield Town loan defender Alex Bruce has signed for his father Steve at Hull after departing Leeds.

It will be the second time the 27-year-old centre-back has played under former Town boss Bruce after the two were at Birmingham together.

Bruce junior, who played three times for Town in December, has signed a two-year deal at Hull after a trial spell.

Leeds had the option of offering Bruce an extra year on his contract when they signed him from Ipswich in the summer of 2010 but boss Neil Warnock decided to release him.

He made 33 Leeds appearances.
