FORMER Huddersfield Town man Dominik Werling has joined relegated League II club Darlington.

Werling, who made three appearances for Town, has struck a deal with the club now managed by former Barnsley boss Simon Davey - who had previously signed him for the Tykes.

The 27-year-old has also played for Sakaryaspor and TSV Crailsheim, FC Union Berlin and Bielefeld II in his homeland.

Darlington have also signed Jamie Chandler from Sunderland. The 21-year-old had been on loan at the Quakers during the first half of the season.

"I'm absolutely delighted to get Jamie and Dominik on board for next season," said Davey.

"I've heard a lot of good reports about Jamie from his spell with the club earlier in the season and I've also watched DVDs and been to see him play for Sunderland's reserves."
