Danny Schofield is staying at FC Halifax Town for the remainder of the season.
The former Huddersfield Town midfielder is hoping for a 21st appearance for the Shaymen in their in their FA Trophy second-round tie at home to Vanarama Conference rivals Alfreton Town.
The 34-year-old, who has also played for Yeovil Town, Millwall and Rotherham United, joined Halifax during the close-season on a short-term deal which has now been extended.
Signed from minnows Brodsworth for £2,000 in 1998, Doncaster-born Schofield made 281 Town appearances, scoring 46 goals, before joining Yeovil in 2008.
