Former Huddersfield Town skipper Lee Sinnott is eyeing another FA Trophy scalp with Altrincham.

The Moss Lane manager saw his side, including Holmfirth-based winger Nicky Clee, win 1-0 at Vanarama Conference rivals Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday.

Now they go to Bath City, of the Conference South, in one of eight third-round ties on Saturday week, January 24.

Bath were 3-1 up after a scintillating first half at Wealdstone and held on to that score to beat a team who were unbeaten in 11 games.

FC Halifax Town head to Dartford, where they play a Conference game on Tuesday night.

Alan Devonshire’s Braintree Town knocked out last season’s runners-up Gosport Borough 2-0 to earn a home tie against Ebbsfleet United, for whom Daryl McMahon’s goal was enough to beat Forest Green Rovers.

Nearly 15,000 fans watched the second-round ties, with the top attendance 2,416 at Stockport County v Wrexham.

If this week’s replays go their way, Wrexham could be meeting Grimsby Town in a repeat of the 2013 final.

The Welshmen were Wembley winners on penalties before more than 35,000.
