Former Huddersfield Town loan striker Grant Holt is returning to West Yorkshire tomorrow.
The robust 34-year-old frontman, who played 15 times on loan for Town last season, scoring twice, has signed for Rochdale until the end of the season.
Holt is expected to be in Spotland boss Keith Hill’s squad for their League I clash with Bradford City at Valley Parade tomorrow.
It could be his ‘second debut’ for Rochdale, having spent two years with the club between January 2004 and January 2006, before he joined Nottingham Forest for a £300,000 fee.
Wigan paid £2m for Holt from Norwich City in July 2013.
He became a favourite with Town fans before sustaining an injury and returning to the DW Stadium, where he was sent out on loan to Wolves in October last year.
