FORMER Huddersfield Town hitman Pawel Abbott has joined a Polish club after ending his time at Charlton Athletic.
The 28-year-old has joined Ruch Churzow on a free transfer after 25 appearances for the Addicks.
New Charlton manager Chris Powell decided he was no longer part of his plans - and let Abbott, who scored 44 goals in 105 Town appearances, leave.
Ruch Churzow have won the top division in Poland 14 times since being formed in 1920.
Abbott, who was born in York but lived in Poland as a teenager, scored five goals for Charlton having signed for a nominal fee last July.
Abbott’s transfer was allowed to go through as the Polish transfer window lasted until February 28.
