Former Huddersfield Town player Donal McDermott has signed for leading Irish club Dundalk.
The 24-year-old ex-Manchester City man was out of contract at Bournemouth, where he had two spells.
Town signed him from the Cherries in the 2011 close-season, but he managed only 14 appearances.
He returned to the South coast club the following January.
Dundalk are the current leaders of the Republic of Ireland’s Airtricity League, whose season runs through the summer.
They are also in Europa League first qualifying round action at home to Jeunesse Esch on Thursday.
Dundalk hold a 2-0 lead from the first leg in Luxembourg.
Based at Oriel Park and League of Ireland winners nine times, their notable former players include ex-Town striker Mick Fairclough.
