Jason Davidson is keen to make a big mark in English football.

The 24-year-old is just back from a whirlwind trip to his homeland in Australia following the birth of his first child and ready to cement a place in the Huddersfield Town line-up.

Davidson showed plenty of classy touches at left-back in the 0-0 draw with Deportivo de La Coruna and, as you’d expect from an Australian international, he wants to carry that form into the Championship campaign against Hull City next week.

“Jason is willing, shows lots of endeavour and wants to do well,” said manager Chris Powell.

“He has always felt that going to West Brom didn’t really work out for him, and he is keen to make his mark in England.

“Let’s hope his performance against Deportivo is something he’ll build on because he’s got fitter and stronger and, hopefully, we can get some more minutes into him.”
