TOWN midfielder Lee Fowler wasted no time in letting manager Peter Jackson know about his international fortunes yesterday.

The 21-year-old sent a text message through to the Galpharm as soon as the whistle had blown on Wales Under 21s goalless draw with Latvia.

Fowler - who is available for Town's trip to Sheffield Wednesday - came through unscathed and hopes to be named in the squad today for the UEFA Championship qualifiers.

German import Dylan Hughes, the Kaiserslautern striker, was the talk of the display.

Hughes, who can play for Canada but is following the heart of his Welsh-born father, made a flying visit to join the Welsh youngsters - missing the first training session - but he did enough to suggest he's a find for new coach Glyn Hodges.

"Dylan did well, he hardly knows anyone and there was a lack of communication at times, but he's fine."
