TOWN midfielder Anthony Pilkington could be set for a quick return to action at Brentford tomorrow.

The 21-year-old left the Galpharm Stadium on crutches on Tuesday night after injuring his left ankle in Town's 2-0 win over Pennine rivals Oldham Athletic.

However, manager Lee Clark was hopeful that Pilkington will be ready to face the Bees at Griffin Park.

"We put Anthony in strapping and on crutches straight away as a precaution, but he has had an X-ray which was clear," said Clark.

"It is just a case of how quickly the bruising goes, but if Anthony feels that he is okay to play then he will be back in the side."
