PETER JACKSON believes Michael Collins' goal against Port Vale was one that could change Town's season.

"I don't think he'll forget it for as long as he lives," said the Galpharm manager of the midfielder's sweetly-curled 78th-minute winner, which put Town sixth in League I.

"It's moments like that goal that can change a season and I'm delighted for Michael because he's a hard worker who has come into the team this time and been a big success."

Trailing to a 33rd-minute Leon Constantine header, Town levelled after 75 minutes through Andy Booth, one of Town's three second-half subs.

"At 1-0 down, big decisions had to be made, and I brought on Pawel Abbott and Chris Brandon (both 67 minutes), then Boothy (73)," said Jackson.

"It livened us up and it was a typical Boothy header which got us back into it."

Another big decision was that to "rest" out-of-form Nathan Clarke and bring in John McCombe.

"John and Aaron Hardy (who replaced injury-hit Andy Holdsworth) were both excellent," said Jackson.

"I said before the season I would be using all 23 squad members, and that's what I am doing."
