Huddersfield Town 's goalkeeping ranks will be boosted by two extra sets of hands for the tour of Austria.

Liverpool loanee Danny Ward has confirmed he will join up with his new teammates for the first time on Sunday, while Joe Murphy has been cleared to travel as he continues his recovery from shoulder surgery.

Ward was given time off to recover from his exploits at Euro 2016 with Wales.

The 23-year-old stopper, who made one appearance at the competition as his country reached the semi-finals, has been on holiday since the deal was finally confirmed on July 11.

But the new no.1 is now ready to commence his Town career - starting with the continental training camp.

Joe Murphy has been a long term injury absentee, but is now able to undertake light training.

And David Wagner has decided that it would therefore be beneficial for the Irishman to travel with the rest of the first team squad for the second of two European trips this summer.

While the time spent in Norway at the end of June was focused on team bonding, Austria has a decided footballing focus with the Championship season just two weeks' away.

Town take on Werder Bremen and FC Ingolstadt as part of the trip - when both Ward and fellow loan signing Kasey Palmer will be hoping to make their debuts.

Palmer missed the friendly defeat to Liverpool with a knock alongside Nahki Wells and Ivan Paurevic, but all three are expected to be on the plane to Austria.
