BAY Athletic claimed their second 4-3 win in four days to go joint top of the West Riding County Amateur League.
Last Wednesday, the defending champions won at Wakefield side Hall Green – on Saturday, their victims were Huddersfield rivals Storthes Hall.
John Buckley netted twice for the Syngenta side, who also had Steve Perrin and Adam Bell on target.
Bay, who are led on goal difference by Wibsey (5-2 winners at Lower Hopton), are back in action tomorrow, when they go to Ardsley Celtic (6.15).
Storthes Hall, whose scorers were Chris Mulvihill (2) and Steve Slack, aim to bounce back at the expense of visitors Kirkburton, although they’ll be looking forward to the local derby after thumping Overthorpe 7-0.
There were two apiece for John Flynn and Gavin Armitage, while Andy Wilson, Lee Bradley and Ashley Flynn also scored for the third-placed side.
Golcar were 5-1 winners in their all-Colne Valley clash at Marsden, with Warren Brooke, Gary Holmes, Kieran Ryan and Simon Ollershaw on target (there was also an own goal by Andy Devlin).
Tomorrow Golcar host Meltham, whose home match with Hemsworth was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, while Marsden go to Overthorpe.
