CAMPION became champion as they inflicted the second Cup defeat in four days on Golcar United.

The Huddersfield side lost in the final of the West Riding County FA Cup on Friday and yesterday at Littletown again found Campion too strong and fell to a 4-0 defeat in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup final.

Golcar never looked like turning the tables on their opponents once they had gone into the lead after only four minutes through Mick Burke.

They had little time to recover from that early setback when Carl Trennery doubled Campion's lead.

Golcar came back into the game in the second half but failed to test Craig Roberts in the Campion goal, and they went further behind when Campion were awarded a penalty when Burke was brought down. Chris Graham gave Matty Day no chance from the spot.

Campion kept Golcar pressed back in their own half for long periods and went 4-0 up when Paul Noble volleyed home from close range.

Golcar battled on and forced the Campion keeper into some late action.
