Track specialist Clancy, 31, previously brought gold back to Yorkshire from Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.

He also earned a bronze in the men’s omnium four years ago.

Clancy will be joined on Saturday by fellow Town Foundation patron Andrew Gale, Yorkshire’s cricketing captain, and legendary former Wolves player Steve Bull.

Keen Town fan Gale, 32, is aiming to lead Yorkshire to a third successive County Championship success.

They are currently playing Nottinghamshire at Scarborough.

Bull will be the guest of Town ambassador Andy Booth at his pre-match ‘beer and banter’ event at PPG Canalside (12.30, free for members, £2 for non-members).

The 51-year-old will then head to the White Rose Cub at the stadium to answer further questions.

Bull, who scored four goals in 13 England appearances, spent 13 years at Wolves.

He netted a club-record 306 times in old gold.

Championship leaders Town hope to once again record a 20,000-plus crowd as they seek a fourth win in five.
