DAMIEN JOHNSON will be back for Town as quickly as is humanly possible.
That’s the verdict of boss Lee Clark, who says the 33-year-old former Northern Ireland international has a fantastic work ethic.
Johnson suffered a hamstring injury in the 1-0 home defeat by Bournemouth but refused to be taken off because it would have left the team down to 10 men.
Johnson will miss Town’s holiday programme, but Clark reckons he will be back early in the New Year.
“Even with an injury like Damien’s pulled hamstring there is plenty of work he can do – and he’s doing it,” said Clark.
“Damien will be back at the earliest given second because that’s the type of character he is.”
