TOWN will host Hartlepool in the first round of this season’s FA Youth Cup.

The tie will take place at the Galpharm on Wednesday week, November 7 (7.00).

That’s 24 hours after the two clubs clash at the same venue in a League I match.

Admission for the Youth Cup game will be £3.50 adults and £1 concessions.

Town reached the third round last season, with current first-team squad member Lucas Akins scoring a hat trick against Northampton in round two.

Luton ended the hopes of the Galpharm teenagers with a 1-0 win.

It will be the second meeting of the two clubs in this competition, which began in 1952-53.

Town were 3-1 home winners in a first-round replay in 1984-85 after a 1-1 draw in the North-East.

Town, coached by former player Graham Mitchell, play in the FA Premier Academy League.

In fourth place, they take on Middlesbrough at Storthes Hall tomorrow (12.00).

Hartlepool play in the North-East section of the Youth Alliance League.

They are also fourth.
