The ratings from Huddersfield Town fans are on Page 2.

IAN BENNETT
Dealt with everything which came his way as Town collected a welcome clean sheet 7

JACK HUNT
Did a good shackling job on dangerous Andy Monkhouse and used his pace well to help set up attacks. 7

GARY NAYSMITH
A no-nonsense show from the left-back, who tackled strongly and helped organise the defensive effort. 7

JAMIE McCOMBE
Made a vital contribution winning header after header against Pool’s threatening strike force 8

PETER CLARKE
The skipper stuck to his guns throughout making some vital challenges and marshalling his side well 7

OSCAR GOBERN
The ever-present midfielder competed well and used his height to good effect to clear a number of Pools attacks. 7

SCOTT ARFIELD
Produced another industrious display and linked well with Jack Hunt as Town pushed down the right. 7

TOMMY MILLER
Looked lively against his former club, but was off target with a couple of shots and was booked for a foul. 7

DANNY WARD
Tried his best to carve out chances, but struggled to make inroads before being taken off on 54 minutes. 6

LEE NOVAK
As ever, ran himself into the ground as the Pools defence were kept on their toes, but couldn’t add to his goal tally. 7

GARY ROBERTS
Showed flashes of trickery and did his bit at the back as Town made a determined effort to hold Pools out. 6
