SALENDINE Nook’s Collegians JFC are enjoying a good season the RCD League and another win for the Under 12s keeps them on course for the Second Division title.

Daniel Ramsden, Niall Finneran and Thomas Adams struck a goal apiece in their 3-0 victory over Battyeford.

Two hat tricks helped Collegians Under 14s to victory over their opponents Netherton.

Alex Allan, James Knowles and an own goal gave Netherton a fighting chance in an enthralling Division II encounter, but a hat trick apiece for Josh Martin and Luke Eastwood and one more from Theo Hall gave Collegians a solid 7-3 win.

Meltham’s Under 12s grabbed another three points in their chase for the Division One title. Goals from Dominic Trowman, Toby Farrington and Elliot Mitchell were enough for a 3-1 win over Honley.

In the same division, a goal from Penistone’s Daniel Needham was not enough as Harry Jagger (2), Chris Hallas, Harrison Cowling, Jordan Greenfield and an own goal gave Longcroft Lions a comfortable 6-1 victory.

In Division II of the Under 12s, Gomersal must have thought goals from Cameron Burnhill (3), Jake Inman, Tyler Hemingway and Dominic Howarth would be more than enough to take three points at Netherton’s Hawkroyd Bank ground, but the home side had other ideas and went one better through Rafiq (4), Fisher (2) and Jones.

Also in the Under 12s, Yorkshire Lions enjoyed only their third win of the season when goals from Jacob Cummings, Ashley Hyde, Kane Quashie and Khaira Saqib gave them a 4-1 victory over Third Division rivals Linthwaite.

Crosland Moor have already wrapped up the Under 12 Division IV title, but Dalton Dynamoes moved three points closer to the runners-up spot with a win over Westend.

The Salendine Nook side rattled in three goals from Scott Rodgers, Matt Lister and Niall Elston, but it wasn’t enough as Reece Simpson (2), Gary Johnson (2), Daniel Carr and Dan Hepworth gave Dalton a 6-3 victory.

Scholes Under 13s hopes of winning any silverware were given a severe knock when they travelled back from Penistone on the end of a 4-2 defeat.

Jonathan Smith and Oliver Hedges-Hemmingway netted for Scholes, but strikes from Oliver Cosgrove, Jack Lockwood, Sam Smith and Ashley Walmsley gave Penistone all three points.

Scholes now have to rely on other teams slipping up.
