Sky Bet, the official sponsors of the English Football League, have commissioned Brighton-based illustrator Alexander Wells to design the programme for this year's play-offs.

The artist, who designed Wolves' programmes all season, was asked to produce three covers for each of the finals, using a similar graphic style to bring each of the participating clubs’ adopted mascots to life.

And the Championship cover has just been revealed.

The cover features Huddersfield’s Yorkshire terrier and Reading’s Royal knight, with Wembley in the background.

The back of the programmes feature each of the three Play-Off Final trophies with Sky Bet ribbons.

Alexander said: “It was great fun working across the Wolves programmes this year researching the stories behind the nicknames and histories of the clubs to represent them properly on the covers.

“The travelling fans to Wolves seemed to really take well to the illustrations of their club and it’s been good to work on the League One and League Two finalists too.

“I hope the fans enjoy my work and we have some good games of football across the three finals.”
