A summer of change is anticipated at Huddersfield Town, with manager Chris Powell yet to truly stamp his mark on the squad he inherited from Mark Robins earlier on in the season.

He has completed three loan deals since his arrival - Grant Holt, Diego Poyet and David Edgar, with the latter the only one still at the club and his first permanent signing was that of Ishmael Miller on a six-month deal on deadline day in January.

But how long does each Town player have left on their existing contracts? With the final international break of the season upon us, now is the time to take stock and assess the futures of each first-team squad member.

Here's a look at the contractual situation for each player.

Out of contract this summer

Jake Carroll, Oscar Gobern, Ishmael Miller, Duane Holmes, William Boyle, Joe Wilkinson, Joe Wright, Jon Stead, Anthony Gerrard, Danny Carr.

The individuals who face the most uncertain futures are those listed above. Carroll and Gobern will justifiably feel most at risk having failed to truly stake their claims for a regular place in Powell's starting lineup.

January addition Miller has shown glimpses of his talent but they have been all too intermittent and is yet to fully convince of his worth for a new deal.

Holmes may also be sweating over his future, but he is still very much regarded as one of the club's younger talents and is on the fringes of the first team.

In the cases of Boyle, Wilkinson and Wright, the fact that each have appeared amongst the substitutes in matchday squads this season bodes well for their prospects of a new deal.

Stead and Gerrard will almost certainly move onto pastures new when their loans at Bradford City and Oldham Athletic expire, but Carr may be given another chance to impress.

Loans up soon

David Edgar, Radoslaw Majewski.

One player was signed by Powell, the other by Robins but both share similar doubts over where they will be playing their club football next season.

The writing would appear to be on the wall most for Majewski, who has featured sparingly under Powell due to Jacob Butterfield's consistent form and has not had the impact many expected when he arrived from Nottingham Forest for the season in the summer.

Edgar is a slightly more curious case as it seems he is not part of Gary Rowett's plans moving forward at Birmingham City and Powell has refused to rule out a move should the opportunity arise, but fans have not been impressed with a series of below-par displays.

One year left (until 2016)

Tommy Smith, Mark Hudson, Jonathan Hogg, James Vaughan, Joe Lolley, Joe Murphy, Lloyd Allinson, Adam Hammill.

Five players on this list are bona fide first teamers who are very much in Powell's thinking moving forward and, you would imagine, sorting out new deals for each of them will be particularly high on his to do list.

Smith has emerged as the club's first-choice right-back and offers versatility, while Hudson - who signed a two-year deal when he joined from Cardiff City last summer - is the manager's captain.

Supporters see captaincy credentials in Hogg, who has been one of the crucial components of this season's squad, while Vaughan looks to finally be rid of the injury ills which have plagued him during his time at the club.

There were suggestions Lolley may look to move in January but he has responded with some excellent form since being promoted by Powell and has a big future ahead of him.

Murphy is an interesting example as he was another Robins signing, Allinson is one of five Town players to have extended his terms with the club this season and so underlines his value while Hammill will return from a largely unsuccessful loan spell at Rotherham United with a year left to run.

Two years left (until 2017)

Joel Lynch, Conor Coady, Sean Scannell, Harry Bunn, Murray Wallace, Jake Charles, Philip Billing.

Town will undoubtedly be more relaxed when it comes to the futures of those who feature here, with Wallace, Bunn and Scannell all committing to new deals this season which are huge boosts to the club.

The fact both Charles and Billing have been given lengthy deals suggests they figure highly in the thoughts of everyone at Town in the future, with the Welshman having made his professional debut in last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Fulham.

Coady penned a three-year contract when he moved from Liverpool last summer while Lynch remains a key part of the first-team squad in central defence.

Three years left (until 2018)

Alex Smithies, Jacob Butterfield, Nahki Wells.

There's certainly an argument to be had that Town have their three most important players tied down and in it for the long haul as there are no worries regarding the spine of their side.

Smithies' improved performances have warranted his new deal despite some fans maintaining some reservations over his quality, Butterfield has been the standout player all season long since trading places with Middlesbrough's Adam Clayton and Wells still has two thirds of the four-and-a-half-year deal he signed in his club-record switch from Bradford City left to run.

That means it would take big money from any suitors interested in plucking any of the trio away for Town to even consider business.
