TWO great results have lifted fans again.

It was fantastic to get the away-day hoodoo out of the way with the win at Oldham.

Hopefully we can build on that. We now have three home games to come, in the FA Cup tomorrow night, on TV a week on Saturday against Wycombe, followed by in-form Hartlepool on the Saturday after.

A good run now will be useful as we approach a tricky December period.

Following on from the success of the trip to MK Dons, the Patrons Association are organising two more for this season.

It’s a tough season for travel with very few games allowing time for a trip and lunch without setting off very early in the morning. We are already planning for Hartlepool in February, but our next trip is to Carlisle on Boxing Day. Relax after Christmas, have a few drinks, a lovely lunch and hopefully another good performance and result for Town.

For just £20 this will be the usual great value and would make a super Christmas present for someone. Travellers will leave the Galpharm at 10am on an executive coach with DVD facility and the trip includes lunch at a venue near the ground, with possibly a Town-related guest.

These trips are always fantastic value for money and all Town fans are welcome to join us.

The Hartlepool trip would be a nice Valentine’s gift too and to book either of these away-days call Martin Lister during the day on 01484 714287. Last date for Carlisle bookings is December 3.

The last Patrons meeting was excellent and inspirational.

Lee Clark, Terry McDermott and Steve Black arrived after a run of poor results but were open, honest and very educational. Everyone went away confident the situation would turn around.

The next meeting on Thursday, November 12 (8.00) is in the Fantastic Media Suite and will feature Andy Booth, Jon Dyson and Iain Dunn.

Andy, Jon and Iain were always crowd favourites and enjoy coming along to meet fans and talk about their careers and football in general. It’s great to see old friends and find out what they are up to, but with Andy it’s a chance to also hear about “retirement” and his new role. This meeting is open to all Town fans.

Patrons should always bring their membership cards to get priority for open meetings and to be entered into the free raffle. All members can attend, with some ID preferably, but only those with cards will be entered into the raffle.

If you want to be the first to meet new players and other guests from the club, have priority for away tickets, special away travel, monthly draw, Terrier newsletter and lots more for less than £1 a week, then call Marcus Garside on 01484 314311 and join the Patrons.
