THREE Huddersfield-based players have been added to the West Riding County Amateur League representative side to give them more firepower.

The WRCA league’s representative side take on the Yorkshire Old Boys League in the FA National League System Cup’s second round at Campion FC’s Manningham Mills ground tomorrow (1.30).

The winners will take a place in the last eight of the competition and team manager Stephen Smith has added Meltham Athletic’s Tom Mathews, Golcar United’s Liam Rothery and Bay Athletic’s Paul Pike – along with Bradford side Albion Sports’ Jordan Missin – to his squad.

Already in the squad from this area were Dion Smith, Lee Mozley, Robert Morris and Scott Fulton (all Storthes Hall), Matt Devlin and Keiran Ryan of Golcar and Bay Athletic’s Steve Perrin.

While the national prize is up for grabs an even bigger reward for the competition winners is that they will get the chance to represent England in the UEFA Regions Cup next season.

The WRCA side reached this stage with a 4-1 win over the Northamptonshire Combination League, while the Old Boys League followed a 5-4 win over the Cumberland County League with a 3-1 success over the Cheshire League.

It promises to be a cracking match and the Huddersfield contingent will be looking to do well.

WRCA squad: Chris Moroney, Richard Ingram, Liam Brompton, Chris Gent, Stephen Fullard (all Ovenden West Riding), Dion Smith, Lee Mozley, Robert Morris, Scott Fulton (all Storthes Hall), Mat Devlin, Liam Rothery, Keiran Ryan (all Golcar United), Steve Perrin, Paul Pike (both Bay Athletic), Tom Mathews (Meltham Athletic), Andy Benjamin (Campion), John Selby (Tyersal), Jordan Missin (Albion Sports), Ernest Boafo (Lower Hopton).
